BHU follows a merit-based admissions process which looks to induct students of the highest caliber to the University. Although selective, our process does not discriminate based on gender, faith or nationality and candidates are selected purely on merit.

The application process is as follows:

  • Apply online and register for appearing in the Aptitude Test.
  • Download APC voucher and pay Application Fee at designated bank OR make Pay order/Demand draft with name of “Barrett Hodgson University”.
  • Visit BHU Admission Office with paid Fee Voucher/Pay order/Demand draft for issuing the Admit Card.
  • Qualify the Aptitude Test OR provide proof for exemption from the Aptitude Test by providing SAT I/SAT II/GMAT/GRE scores transcript as applicable. BHU Aptitude Test results will be valid for 18 months from the date of dissemination of the list of successful candidates.
  • Appear for an interview before two faculty members separately.
  • Meet the minimum academic eligibility requirement for the concerned program.
  • Provide equivalence certificate in case of holders of degrees/certificates issued by non-Pakistani universities/boards.
  • Pay the fee for the concerned program and provide proof of payment.
  • Complete enrolment process for the semester.

Weightage

The weightage criteria for individual activities of the admission process is as follows:

– Aptitude Test 50%
– Interviews 20 %
– H.S.C or A level or Equivalent Exam 30 %

Objectives of Aptitude Test and Interview Activities

  • Aptitude Test: To evaluate the candidate’s abilities in quantitative and analytical reasoning, communications skills, reading comprehension, grammatical and general aptitude for the program.
  • Interviews: To bring out the qualities of candidates needed to succeed in the chosen program of study and the potential of the students to contribute positively to the society when they graduate.

Enrollment and Induction

Applicants who have accepted the admission offer and paid the prescribed fee will be invited to enroll online for the courses of the concerned academic program. These candidates will be required to submit the following documents to enable their enrolment in the concerned academic program:

  • Matriculation/‘O’ Levels certificate with transcript/marks sheet
  • HSC/‘A’ Levels certificate with transcript/marks sheet
  • Migration certificate of the university/board concerned, except in the case of Karachi University/Karachi Board
  • Equivalence certificate in case of holders of degrees/certificates issued by non-Pakistani universities/boards
  • 6 copies of a recent passport-size photograph
  • Photocopy of Fee Challan deposit slip
